Well as my recovery from having too much fun skiing continues, a whirlwind trip of heading to our marina and Interlude, then heading to Ocracoke, finally visiting the shop for Pacific Seacraft to meet the folks responsible for hatching Interlude, a chance meeting of a fellow CP16 owner happened in the NPS campground on Ocracoke. As a conversation with another "Rick" unfolded we realized our mutual interest in this crazy thing called sailing and his recent purchase of a CP16. I pleasantly replied we had one too! Also asked him if he had stumbled upon the CPYOA forum, "I've been all over that!" was his reply. Anyway Mas meets AirborneJarhead and a NC connection is made. A great fellow who also has a marine canvas business. Reach out and say hey!

"Mas" our 16 may sit out this season but with an certain future teaching my grandson how to trick the wind into moving her once he is more comfortable in the water and can sail our little dinghy. He already refers to her as "our" boat! Interlude meanwhile is now demanding her share of our time, and now that i am able to navigate with some stability again on a moving deck, she and I have a few dates together planned! Getting a late start but better late than never.

Meanwhile Bob and Kevin, I've heard rumors about a 16 down this direction possibly for sale.......:)

Glad to hear you're up and about! Funny, I was just thinking about you and hoping you are well on the road to recovery. Must be all that PBR you're taking- what a great prescription!!

It was great meeting you, Rick! Hope your trip to Pacific Seacraft went well. Can't wait to see how Interlude turns out for you. I'm about to spend a week of afternoons getting Little Wing ready for our inaugural sail. After that, I've got 10 yards of Sunbrella to use designing and fabricating a tent or enclosure on her.
Cheers!
