Com Pac 16 small rolling furler help needed

This rolling furler came with the boat. it spins around the axle but doesnt furl. I cant seem to find any information about this model. it is a small Flexible Furler but it looks like it is a single piece that doesnt come apart. Has anyone had any experience with this model? Is it just a manual type that must be furled by hand (i e no spring mechanism)? Any help would be much appreciated
