How big is too big? 7'-6" long x 84" wide x 40" high?

brackish

mines on a track adjustable fore and aft.  I'll have to measure it when I go to the boat but it is all that it can take and still be on the gunwales inside of and not interfering with the genoa track and car.  Additionally the highest it can be is what will fit under your boom when it is open.  Mine just clears and allows the boom to swing as necessary to sail with the bimini deployed.  I do have to lift the boom to fold it forward which is where I have it when not in use.  You can only be as long as to not interfere with your mainsheet particularly when you are boomed out on a run.  And your boom vang on the other end.  Mine is as big as it can be, will measure it next time up.
