ok gang, here it is. chiseled in stone. THE 10TH ANNUAL CLR PLAN OF ACTION. Monday june 25th 7pm---Meet and
greet at Bretz Winery ,Illinois 127 just north of Carlyle. meet and greet usually ends with a dock party at the west access marina. the race course will be discussed at this time. Tuesday, we meet at the docks after breakfast (approximately 11 am). There sailors are given the handicap ratings for their boat and assigned a start time. the times (by the clock) determine how soon you can cross the start line. if you are late to the start just go ahead. the race course will be a simple windward to leeward course. the number of laps has yet to be determined but the start and finish lines are the same. there is a floating weather station near the dam that will be used for one of the start lines. the other mark will be placed so that it is visible from the start line (hopefully 1/2 mile). we have had some confusion in the past and i think this course may put an end to that. following the race will be a raft up party (basically-eating drinking and lying). Tuesday night 630 will be dinner at the Chop House in St.Rose, a very good eatery. dock party following. Wednsday we hope to "Sail to the Silo". the silo is pretty much in the middle of the lake and pretty easy  to spot. there is a wonderful raft up spot west of there where we will party. Wednesday night will be Pizza night at the marina club room and possibly a little "cornhole" tourney. Thursday is the CLR cup race. it will be the same as the Tuesday race (providing that goes well) followed by a raft up. the awards dinner will be held at the marina club room (catered). be there by 7pm. trophies and gifts will be awarded. two other notes, i think we will have a full moon that week so whoever whats to go for a night sail see me and we will set something up. it can be a great experience! and sailors who are staying Friday (sometimes conditions will be good) we may set up another race for those interested. in the past we have had breakfast with those clr sailors getting ready to hit the road. I may have mentioned before that i will be available to help with launching boats, parking vehicles and boat retrieval on the last day you are here. whether you arrive on sunday or Monday i hope you call me (317) 292-0258 and tell me how i can assist you. Thanks for the details.  We are hoping to join in the fun  (without boat, sadly) for part of the week.  We are relatively new to the ComPac family, but have been sailing for many years.  Will contact you later if our plans can work out.

Looks like another great plan for this year, kick and his Admiral know how to throw a great party. It's well worth the drive if your anywhere close. A good lake for sailing, marina with great facilities and a fantastic bunch of sailors. Looking forward to a fun time again this year.
