The Falcon on The Baltic by E.F. Knight

Further to my review of 'Down Channel',  http://cpyoa.geekworkshosting.com/forum/index.php?topic=9084.0  a book listed in 'Riddle of The Sands' as being on 'Ducibella's' bookshelf, the other tome listed was 'The Falcon on the Baltic' by E.F. Knight. Once again a good session of web ferreting revealed that this was also a popular sailing book of the late 1880's and describes itself as  "a coasting voyage from Hammersmith to Copenhagen in a three-ton yacht". A few clicks later it appeared on my Kindle.
I would say it is well worth the read if only for a good description of European politics and how emigrees returning from America were thought of upon return to their birth country! The descriptions of life in fishing villages through the Netherlands, Denmark and Germany are also most enlightening.
A very different world from which we now inhabit.
