CP27 throttle tension control?

Anybody know how to adjust the tension on the throttle?  Mine has to be held forward to power up and will drop back to idle if I let go.  I assume all CP27s are the same but this is on a pedestal with Edson helm.

You adjust throttle cable friction indirectly by tightening a set screw inside the Edson pedestal which applies pressure against the steel shaft that rotates when you move the throttle lever. Remove the compass to gain access from the top of the pedestal. You'll see the throttle lever shaft on the right side, with a hex head bolt facing upward - tighten the bolt while you move the throttle lever until you're happy with it.

Thanks, Wes.  Exactly the info I needed!

On a lot of boats, you'll find this part, it might work on the CP27 cable just fine but probably better to adjust tension in pedestal like Wes said.

And a vise grip can work as a temporary solution in an emergency.
