anti-fouling paint - i did it !!!

So after a month in salt water, i finally took the decision to paint the boat myself.
Bought the paint at West marine : BottomShield Antifouling Paint, Red, Gallon  $140
bought a Ryobi 1,600-PSI 1.2-GPM Electric Pressure Washer  $120

put the boat in my driveway , removed the central bunks ( one bolt broke trying to unscrew it )
lowered the external bunks.

removed the barnacles with pressure wash
sanded and painted 2 layers.

i couldn't  do under the keel !!

Nice job.  I may have to do this during this off season and I want to understand your technique better.

Could you explain what you mean by "lowered the external bunks."  I am trying to figure out how to balance and support the boat on the trailer while painting the hull.  How do you keep the boat from falling over if the bunks are removed or lowered?

so doing one side at the time , and because the keel is flat, i move the strap (yellow on the back) to do a loop on the side still up.
and i remove the other side internal bunk, an lower the external one. so the boat is "hold" on one side. 
the internal bunks are not touching the boat anyway , they are just guide when you put it on the trailer.

i tested by rocking it , no movement.

the boat is really resting on the central plastic bunk. i even lowered both external bunk, no changes.

the painting by itself took only 20mn each time.
i did the work in 3 days because it was 95+ degrees.

The hull cleaned up nicely--although if you want more practice, I'm sure others would allow you to work on their boats also.

Is that a gatorbak bunk cover for the keel?  How does that compare to having rollers?
