I decided to post this as a separate topic since no one answered me the last 2 weeks.

I read all of the posts about a CP23 trailer, so I think I can build one, but nowhere did I see a trailer size.  What size trailer do I want? Length and load capacity?

Thanks for your help.

The load capacity on mine is 4200 lbs.  Not sure what you want for length, that dimension is going to be variable depending on how long you want your tongue.  In fact mine has a telescoping tongue to add about 4 feet if necessary to launch at shallow ramps.  What you really need to focus on is the relationship between the chock that locates the boat on the wheel sets and the centerline of the axles.  That is what will determine the appropriate amount of tongue weight for towing.  This post will give you the relevant dimensions.  If there is something specific you need ask for that and I'll measure, but just giving the overall length will not help much.  From the wheel sets back can be anything you want, once you've located the boat properly on the wheel sets.

The length between a line equidistant between the two axles to the center of the ball receiver on the tongue is 18'-8 1/2"

The overall length from the tongue to the end of the trailer is 23'-2"
