I was crawling around my engine getting ready to change the Antifreeze before winterizing her for this year (I live in Chicago area)

I cannot locate the stated Engine Block Coolant Drain.

I also found some oil leaks , though possibly an unseated dip stick... or a bad filter seal (I have my fingers crossed on those 2)

Here are some pics.  If you can see the Block Coolant drain or just give me some guidance on draining the coolant, please jump in.

Hey Tom:  I have no experience with the Westerbeke.  We have a Universal 12 and do not routinely drain the cooling system.

Since no one else has come forth: I will say that when I fixed the heat exchanger a good deal of the coolant ran into the bilge, some into my deck shoe, and the rest into a plastic milk bottle.  I am thinking that the majority of the coolant was replaced.

This is probably not helpful, but it did drain the coolant.

Smooth Sailing.

The second pic you posted is the correct view to see the drain.  Westerbeke.com has the diagrams for your 20B2 engine.  Block drain should be adjacent to the oil filter.  If you discover an easy way to remove and replace the oil dipstick pleassssse let me know.

thanks
