CLR is the Midwest's premier sailing event. Sailors from all around the country have been known to participate. Our host Sara puts on a week full of great sailing, incredible eats, and entertainment. Oh yeah, there is this guy Steve who shows up every year too.  Search for old posts and you'll find photos, stories, and tall tales of races, dock gatherings, and incredible feats of sailing prowess.
Oriental, "The Sailing Capitol of North Carolina".

Little boats? All boats? Raid style? Is it generally a trailer sailor event?

Sounds interesting. Should definitely have the new road rig dialed in by then.

Will see what I can sleuth together by reading old posts. Is there any kind of a website for the event? I don't have any social media.

we  welcome trailer sailors of any length any make. carlyle lake if a great sailing venue. the sailing association has hosted some national one design regattas. our little event is all about fun and friendship. we spend 4 or 5 days sailing, racing {just for fun and bragging rights} we raft up every day for some swimming and lying. the big race is a windward leward of 2 miles with narkers 1/3 mile aoart. great fun and a wonderful photo op.weather permitting we could do a night sail as well, check out carlyle lake carlyle, illinois
