Got to maiden the 16 Saturday, first time ever being on a sailboat! Thanks to the forum for the help getting it rigged up, countless hours of youtube figuring out how to sail, and persistence to try new things and get out on the water, luckily I live in a great area for a boat! Heres some pictures of the journey, everything was great!

Congratulations on your first trip.  It is like magic when the motor is off and the sails take over.  It looks like you had a great time and your crew enjoyed it too!  Glad to see someone bringing up a future sailor!

Lucky guy.  Lucky kid.

I envy you both.

And I guarantee you will both remember that day for as long as you live.

Potcake boy

Well, Yamaha, you did it now. That boy is no longer interested in being a doctor when he grows up, he wants to be an America's Cup skipper.
What a fantastic way to spend a day with your son. Is that Sarasota area I see in the background?

Thanks, was a great day even though I was stressing everything, next outing will be better yet! I was really stressing pulling a boat out of the water for the first time ever and I was using a 4 cylinder manual trans 2wd Ranger LOL... Now that I know she pulls out of the water decent game on!

We are in west palm beach in the Lake Worth lagoon and we are on Munyon Island for most of those pics! Peanut Island is next with some snorkeling, more sailing practice when it's windy, and preparation for Keys adventure this summer!!! Follow us on Instagram TB561 Thanks

You look much younger then you sound.

lol. Glad you had a good time. Like I tell other people. Sailing is easy to learn but then you spend the rest of your life learning to do it really well.
