Among other upgrades this season, I'm thinking about trying to find a new-to-me tender to get to my mooring. I have an old 8' dinghy that came with the boat but it barely holds two people safely and is a pain to row in a stiff wnd. Plus I keep it on a small beach so I have to drag it in and out of the water. Even though I used a wheel attachment last year, this old back didn't like it very much. Luckily, I have access to a dinghy dock for a reasonable fee. I'd prefer something in the 9-10 ft range that can hold 2-3 people, rows easily and could accommodate a 2 hp motor in the future. I've pretty much ruled out a used inflatable as most are sold at the end of their life. I thought I had found a Cape Dory 10 that was advertised without a picture for a reasonable price locally, but the boat was not even close to being that classic boat.

Thoughts/suggestions?

Here's a good guide.  http://www.cruisingworld.com/tenders-hard-vs-inflatable
Perhaps an old Seitech dolly would help you get it to the water.  There's a ton of them around.
