well, here is the plan. the 2017 Carlyle Lake Rendezvous will take place June 26th through June 30th. i have received some input from other CLR sailors regarding dates but in the past have found that it is impossible to schedule the event and make everyone happy. hopefully this time will work. by late june the water is warm enough to swim and maybe the weather wont be as hot as july and august. as always, most sailors will keep their boat at the West Acess Marina ( 618) 594-2461) and either stay aboard or at the nearby Mariners Village Motel (618) 594-7666. the motel also has cabins as well which could be shared i suspect. this year im hoping to have a night sail, corn hole tourney, the CLR Cup race and possibly a "Race to the Silo". i have all winter to iron out the details and i always welcome input. It's inked on my calendar!!

thats one----boat or no welcome as always------oh, boat preferred even a precision 15
it will be my 1st choice vacation pick!
I am always looking forward to another CLR! See you all in June.
Rich
im guessing with the work carl is doing to his 19 it will be hard to award the "prettiest boat" trophy
Made my 1st vacation pick for June 26 thru June 30.
I'll put away all the power tools in April so as not to miss another CLR!

Those dates will work for me, so I'll see you then. Contact the weather person and have them give us fare winds and lots of sun shine.

Now the big question is: How do we bribe Mike and Brenda Greene to attend? PBR? Any suggestions??
Bob23.
changed my vacation dates and added the week before to make sure the boat is ready.

lets make sure we read the danger warnings that lawyers put on power tools
Hmm...maybe better yet let's get Joanie to sell all his power tools while he's at work. Being limited to a feather duster should insure he shows up at CLR! :)
Bob23
Also can someone send Carl a manual for his outboard so we don't have to play tugboat for him, with a pair of gloves so he comes to the CLR with all his fingers and no large bandages
ROGER
Maybe he can use my oars as propulsion. I've never gotten hurt with them!
Bob23
as always, i do have two cruise and carry 2.7 hp "weedwackers" for rent
seriously, carls unfortunate accident last year made me much more careful around my stuff----thanks carl----cant wait to see the new and improved "miss adventures"
HEY! I resemble those remarks!
seriously though, no worries. i haven't been in the shop for months.
it's hunting season and i'm trying to fill the basement freezer with small game.
i bought a new .22 air rifle and it is by far the most accurate one i own. it also cost twice as much as the other two!
so, if i have all my digits and the boat is finally whole, maybe i'll bring some rabbit and squirrel to CLR for the bbq.
c.c.
Oh no...please don't tell me he's using a gun....OH NO!!!!
Bob, what could possibly go wrong. It's just a .22 air rifle.
What's that you argue?? It's being operated by the most accident prone person we know? Could (should) write a book about his miss-adventures?
Well, that's true. Alright, you made your point there.
"You'll shoot your eye out!" I'm sure Joanie is looking out for him.
