Title: Trawler conversion
Post by: Shawn on November 23, 2016, 05:14:30 PM
Just saw this browsing ebay...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1979-Hutchins-Co-Com-Pac-23-Trawler-sailboat-with-tandem-axle-trailer-/391630503155?forcerrptr=true&hash=item5b2eff3cf3:g:gwQAAOSwiDFYNHDD&item=391630503155

I like the off center companionway. I always thought that was a nice feature to let one play around with space more.

Interesting! It looks like the keel has the bottom 12" removed. That would make it easier to launch, but I wonder how it was done. Seems like a lot of work. The cheap-o looking solar panels make me a little nervous about the quality of other materials used, but the other bits and pieces look good.

The lack of outside steering looks like a downside to me, but maybe that is normal in the trawler world.
