Oh how I miss being on the forum nearly everyday.
I am doing this by my phone and that is a giant pain.
We have made the move to Oklahoma, and are doing alright. The house we purchased ended up bein a real mess. And I want to apologize to those that have tried to reach me, I have literally been working feverishly to get it livable, which I accomplished, and then to get it de-trashed and fix the critical structural issues.
For those on my FB page, you have seen some of the things I have been through. It has been tough to say the least.
But, this is a sailing site, not? How is my CP19?? She is finally nested in my new backyard and collecting sun, and leaves, and acorns.
Hopefully soon I will have some work done to get her nearest to my garage so I can care for her easier.
We have no internet yet, the expense has been to much, and no TV. The data on my phone has been exceeded, and I truly wish I could go sailing...... I NEED IT.
All in due time I suppose. I am working on my small garage now, I have to fix termite damage, and some mold. Speaking of mold, what was that concoction to kill mold?????? I think I saw it here long ago.
Anyway, I would like to remain a admin, I will have Internet soon again. I hope to get back on here soon to help relax..... I miss boats now that I live and breath Walmart, and it's retail prowess.
I hope to get the internet and post pictures of this house mess....... she is a beautiful home, just that the bastard hid alot that nobody caught. Live and learn!
And I can't wait to get my shop up and functional now that I am able to fix that building up. So exciting!!

Great to hear from you.
If you keep the boat around trees etc. you should make your own cover. Buy Sunbrella to do it. It is expensive but cheaper than having one made. It will last longer than tarps and keep the boat much better. I need to make a winter cover for mine eventually but that is far down the list of improvements for my boat.

We keep our Mac (pun, right), er Mac 26X on Grand Lake. A great sailing lake with lots of stuff to do locally.
We've downsized boats (and houses--in process of moving currently, so I feel your pain), still trying to sell our X. Have three interested in her right now.......... Once this house selling/buying/moving is complete on the 14th, hope to get to the lake.
Sadly, our Eclipse sits in local storage.......................

Hey Mac, good to hear from you. Don't know where you are in OK, but I lived in Sand Springs for 8 years and had good sailing on Lake Keystone. PM Tim Gardner for mold control options, I think it is his business and expertise. I have been having good luck with a mild case of surface mold using Concrobium with a fogger. I first used a mixture of borax, water, and vinegar about 1:20:4 mixture by volume with a foam mop then fog with the Concrobium. Seems to work. We got some because of a combination of having the house closed up for 6 weeks and the HVAC system condensate drain clogged.

Quite the adventures you are having with the new house! We bought a fixer upper as well, and after 4 years it's now close to finished. The money, effort and time was worth it looking back, especially when we look at what it's worth today. I hope you feel the same when it's all ship-shape!

We hope to make 2017 for sure, and have it on the list so to speak! Our relocation took us to Mannford Oklahoma and that is next to Sand Springs. I haven't had the boat on it yet but the layout looks like it would be a nice sailing area once we get her going again.
My shop space is a bit farther than the last post. I am really hoping to rearrange it to maybe get it functional today, and also get the concrete cleared off for the boat. This way the boat can come out of the yard and into the clearer area of the concrete next to the garage area. Once I can I'll post pictures, it is a beautiful place really, and Salty, I know this is a big project but your right, it will be worth while in the end for sure!
My wife is happy here Gents! What else could I ask for, the rest is really trivial after that!

Mannford is a nice area. We actually lived in Prattville, south of the river and west of the bridge, so fairly close. Mannford is kinda new looking because it is actually "New Mannford" the old being in the lake someplace. Additionally a tornado got a lot of new construction going while we were there. Miss the area, two sons born there and we had some great times while living there. When we first moved to Oklahoma we stayed in a Keystone State Park cabin for a few weeks waiting for our home to be finished. Very enjoyable.

i worked on my first house for about 20 years. learned a lot and made it a nice house for a young family just starting out. like working on boats your can learn a lot and gain confidence doing it yourself. it will be fine take your time and dont try to do too much at once. and of course we want to see you at next years clr (boat too)
