Title: Where is Greene's jib furler?
Post by: Don Frisby on August 19, 2016, 02:10:47 AM
Back in Feb 2010, Commodore Greene created and posted some pics and directions on creating a homemade jib furler, but pray tell...where are these pics and directions posted? Thx.

Look for roller furler for Com-Pac 16 in his albums.

Thanks, Tim, for that quick reply. I have seen his site, but by now I would have thought he'd gotten that copier working and his instructions would be readable. And by the way, what are YOU doing up so early in the morning? Same as me? Reading cpyoa msgs, too?

Tim,

When are you going to post pictures and instructions on your 19's home made jib furler?  It worked very well in the 30 plus on Smith Mountain Lake with the big jib flying.  I pulled the furling line in-between gusts just to be sure that I did not overload anything.  It would have functioned well in much stronger wind.

Did I mention that several captains at the skippers meeting noted how fast we caught up to the fleet when we finally had some air?
