I've got a 79 compac 23 and I'm going through it fixing this and that and I noticed I have a few portlights that leak. It appears they have a gasket. Is it as easy as replacing the gasket? If so where can they be bought, or is there more to the job than this? I searched the forum but couldn't find much info. Here are some pics to show you what I'm working with.

Inexpensive and pretty easy to do. Call Hutchins and order the rubber seals. Peel them out of the groove they are in and clean up any leftover residue. The new ones press back in with a little pressure or tapping with a rubber mallet. Make sure to put them into the groove with the splice ending up on top.

First, beautiful woodwork restoration. Second, I replaced those gaskets a number of years ago and I found them at Fawcett in Annapolis, Maryland whilst wandering around town after the sailboat show. Not sure where else you can find them. Did you contact Perko or Compac?

I bought some also this summer, Matt from Hutchins/Compac parts said put contact cement on them..?
No instructions included..But hey, on another observation; really like your cabin teak battens on the walls/ceiling...where did you get them, and did you screw holes in cabin wall to install ?
Mike, I did mine a few years ago also. I called Matt and ordered the gasket. Easy fix, the hard part was cleaning out the old gasket. I used a lot of acetone.
Now, about your cabin. Looks good! Is the table set-up original or did you make it.
Sorry Dom, I just realized Hockyfool didn't start this thread. But I really like your table set-up. Solves a lot of storage problems.
I did not use any kind of adhesive when I installed new gaskets. They fit quite snugly which holds them in place. If you have one that fits loosely then a small spot or two of contact cement makes sense.

nice job on the wood. I replaced same last year, would love to know a source for replacing the perko screen inserts.
Thanks for all the feedback. I'll give compac a call, they are right up the road from me. I can't claim credit for all the teak, The previous owner installed it all. I just made it pretty again. Same thing with the table. It came that way with the boat.
Part of an old thread, sorry. Any input on a source for screens for Perko portlights? I am missing two and cannot get from Hutchins.
