Title: Com-Pac logo
Post by: DanM on June 21, 2016, 08:39:53 AM
Does anyone happen to know the origin of the Com-Pac logo? Just idle curiosity... it's a fine graphic, but I always wonder if the three arrows have any particular significance.

What a great question.  I always assumed it was looking inward, to turn a big yacht into a little one. Kind of a mission statement.

That's it. Making the C smaller.
I asked Gerry Hutchins about it and that is what he said. I always thought it was also a play on the points of sail, and he said, "I guess I never saw it that way but yea, I guess so."

When i tested for the police dept, there were circles with arrows pointing in and circles pointung out. They were of different colors and thicknesses.  We were instructed to pick the image we liked the most.  Later i was instructed the arrows pionting out indicated one was a introvert, and the image with the arrows pionting in, indicated you were an extrovert.

I guess the designers of the test, (B.O.T.S.) the bureau of testing standards, had never been to a CLR event!
