Title: Clr "chase the jug" race
Post by: kickingbug1 on June 11, 2016, 04:00:56 PM
the other night i came up with what could be called a "Brain *&%&%". At the Clr we have a little competition (not a race---we are having two of those this year). this involves attaching a plastic jug (milk, fabric softener< detergent whatever) to the stern of each boat using 25 feet of line. All boats are directed to disperse in all directions. At the sound of the airhorn sailors try and "capture" the jugs of other boats. After a time (length to be determined) the second airhorn blows (we could just set a time) and the boat with the most jugs "captured" wins. probably one of our "priceless trophies. tell me what you think. like i said before we will also have two other races (weather permitting). the "warm up" race (trophy for 1st place, and the CLR cup race. Come with grit teeth the competition (hahah) is plenty tough.

Question: Are rowing craft allowed in this competition?
