Hello all,
I just wanted to say how much I have enjoyed reading the posts and seeing the pictures on this forum. My wife and I are interested in a small trailerable sailboat and have fallen in love with the Com-Pac brand. Hope you all are enjoying the spring sailing.
Grouse20, welcome!
I'm in the first year with my Com-Pac 16... and I confess: if there's a day that I don't get to sail, I get pretty edgy!
Find one - and feed your soul!
peace, Chuck

Grouse 20 welcome aboard the board. If you are looking for a trailerable boat and you intend to ramp launch on a normal basis, nothing beats the Cat boats from Com Pac. The fact that the sail stays bent on and the mast is always hooked up to it's hing simplifies the rigging process to the the point of being ridiculously simple. From trailer to water in minutes. No other sailboat can do that. Our Sun Cat is fitted with the mastender plus system. I can stand in the cockpit and pull up the mast or let it down very fast. They are great boats. Very fast when cracked off the wind and super easy to sail. Beating to windward is painless.
Sound like an advertisement. Well maybe it is. My Sun Cat is for sale so I can move up to it's big brother the Horizon Cat. Our Sun Cat "Gatito" (small cat or kitten in Spanish) will be listed next week on this board.

Oui Oui, Your CP-16 is so clean and uncluttered ... I like her looks.
craig.
I agree, the picture of ChuckD's very clean 16 makes me want to go sailing right now. Thanks for the recommendation Tom, I'll look for your boat and pics next week when you have it posted.
Welcome to the board. Congrats on the boat, she looks great.
