Hi All,
I know of a Compac 16 that needs rescued in the Mid-Tennessee area for a real good price. The boat is all there except for the tiller handle which has rotted away. I don't have any pictures of it but I can say that the boat is in a whole lot better shape than mine was when I got her. The HIN is ABV01475M81H, I think that makes it a 1981. I would have bought her myself, but I have 3 sailboats, 1 jonboat, 1 Feathercraft runabout, and boat parts all over. My wife would have made me go live in one of them if I had brought that one home. If I can answer any questions or help in anyway contact me.
Thank you Bob for the heads up and the email today. If this were closer, I would probably jump on it. Of course, I noticed the Admiral has the divorce lawyer on speed dial and threatens to push the button should another boat appear in the yard. But thanks anyway!

LOL! I know exactly what you mean. Mine threatens that everytime I drag another one home.
I often repeat my mantra: One wife, many boats. And how lucky she is that it's not reversed! Somehow, she doesn't quite get it.
Bob23...still keeping an eye out for a stray 16!
Hey Bob23, I thought that the 16 project was on hold? I do know of a non-project 16CB that is just down the Rivah from No Mas that will probably be for sale. Lot's to be said for trail and sail ready boats!
We have our work cut out for us, but it is evident that we will need to conspire to keep PeterG from forgetting what a 23 looks like! Beagle is due to leave tomorrow.
True Rick. But I don't have the funds for a nice plug and play 16. I will unashamedly admit that I'm trying to steal one! But in truth, it's not that important that I get another boat. I should focus all my energies on my 23.

It is easy to get distracted by "other women". It is truly best to be in a monogamous relationship when it comes to our boats! Now with that said, i do have a stable of canoes and kayaks from my white water days. More neglected now with the arrival of our new girl. :)
Looking forward to a double date someday!
My wife says I have 5 boats. Au, contraire is my reply. It's really 3. or 4. Koinonia, her tender which is not really a boat. The Guideboat (ok, that one really is a boat). My Precision 15 which was a gift from a close friend (a gift is not a boat), and an old 8' hull in the backyard dingy hull in the back yard. 3, see? Not 5. It all depends on perspective.
so...if you can pick it up then it is not a boat is that one of the rules? Sweet then i have only 1 boat!
Well this thread started with a neglected 16 and I just got a text from the fellow selling the 16 near us with the cracked keel. Evidently you can't have a 16 in bad enough shape to not sell. Someone bought her and is coming to pick her up tomorrow. Hopefully she will be back on the water soon.
I'm interested. I only have two boats. Do you have Contact info? Thanks. James
Actually, I live in tn and really need a good family boat at my club. I would like some info as well
