Title: Issues with Forum
Post by: Jon898 on January 09, 2016, 09:33:18 PM
Starting today, I've been getting the following message returned when I click on links on the forum:

Deprecated: preg_replace(): The /e modifier is deprecated, use preg_replace_callback instead in /home7/geekwor1/public_html/cpyoa/forum/Sources/Load.php(225) : runtime-created function on line 3

Sometimes the page appears as well and sometimes it's just the message at the top of the page...any ideas?

While on this topic, one of my computers with McAfee still won't let me access the site saying it is some kind of security risk.  Is there any way to get around this other than disabling McAfee?

I just started getting those things today.  Top of this page says:

Deprecated: preg_replace(): The /e modifier is deprecated, use preg_replace_callback instead in /home7/geekwor1/public_html/cpyoa/forum/Sources/Load.php(225) : runtime-created function on line 3

Hmm, computer with windows 7 with a firefox browser does just fine.  Computer with windows 10 using edge has that malady.

And just after I post this it started on the win 7/firefox computer too. :)

Has this been addressed?  I'm still having the same problem.  And can't log on sometimes.

When I try and access "posts since your last visit"  it no longer works.

Last few days for me as well.  Hasn't limited anything; my posts go through fine, just the weird msgs at the top.  I can see Unread msgs, and all the forums.    Running Win 7, Chrome, and AVG, no Mcafee.

Hasn't been an issue, but wanted to share info if needed for troubleshooting.

just tried to reply and nothing. Aside from the message, has anyone wondered why the "modifier is deprecated" wording? Not a great thing to be. Odd.

Things seem to work, they just don't look like they worked. Like, I reply and get a bunch of that deprecated whatever. Then I go and look at the topic, and my reply is there.

So, at least we have that.

I too have had issues signing in, getting these errors

Deprecated: preg_replace(): The /e modifier is deprecated, use preg_replace_callback instead in /home7/geekwor1/public_html/cpyoa/forum/Sources/Load.php(225) : runtime-created function on line 3

As someone said, It may not be a fatal error, as got on to the site.

I did have a fatal error trying to add a photo too my profile.  I got the deprecated error and no photo! Maybe it did not like my photo!!

Fixed again, I hope.  I ran all the diagnostics and removed all the errors found, and cleared the error log.  Seems to have worked.

I didn't realize how much I enjoy this forum until it was down. Thank you for taking care of it.
