Greetings all from sunny south Florida. Today must be the day of the 23D as I see somebody else stole my thunder but that's ok!! I just happened upon a 1997 23D in an estate sale down here. Prior owner was a bad ass! Navy Seal retired bought the boat at 84 yrs old in Cape Canaveral and sailed it to Jenson Beach with his child hood buddy. Had a stroke shortly after. Just a right place at the right time and a poorly written Craigslist ad with one bad picture and no info other than estate sale and no price on the ad. I had a tiny budget and landed a whale!! Aviva!!
Sounds like you are a lucky dog!
They say every dog has his day, so I guess I was up. Cleaning her up the last couple days. Ordering new gaskets for the portholes and attending to small issues to keep her water tight. In the process I am falling in love with Stuart FL and Hutchinson Island. The slip is paid until year end than if I want I can keep the old slip at 150 per month.
Pictures!
It is amazing how much fun it can be to do work; boat work that is!
$150/Mo slip rental seems reasonable for a 23' if you like the location.
