lets see its cold and raining and im trying to get out of some housework. what better time to talk CLR 2016. i had a thought the other day concerning the race course. i think using two markers and sailing twice around like last year worked pretty well but instead of sailing west to east how about south to north. the south marker could be at the starting line near the damn and the north marker near the sailing association. with boat traffic pretty non-existant during the week i see no problem and i think the markers would be easier to see as well. i was also thinking that sarah and i could set the north marker and come down that set the south marker and then take part in the race as well. this might work better given the westerly winds common in july. i know its a long way off but you can only watch "gilligans Island" reruns so much (i will be the tallest "thurston howell the third" in the history of 60s television).
This sounds good. I can cheat on almost any course!!! Thanks for all your work, Kick.
that "new jersey bob" what a guy.
I know I said it last year but next year it looks like more of a possibility: I'd like to tow my 23 out there. We'll see.....
he keeps teasing us doesnt he. seriously that is one long trip pulling a big boat like a 23. as much as all of us want to see you at the helm we would want a safe uneventful trip more.
Bob as always you're welcome to crash at my place on the way out. Towing the 23 that far would in my mind be a multi-day journey!
Might even have some Guinness waiting for you.
Ooooo...Guinness...now yer talkin' my language! I plan to take the boat on a test road trip! It tows just fine...brought her home from her winter nap place...cruised at 65 with no problem. But although I drive a bare truck to CLR in 14 hours, I'd estimate at least 18 with the boat in tow...if everything is uneventful!

there he goes again ----teasing us. seriously the precision would be just fine. you know what i sail---right
