Title: Great sail in 15-17 knots of wind...
Post by: rbh1515 on September 22, 2015, 11:09:43 PM
on Lake Michigan tonight.  Winds were from the south east, so we had some wave action.  This was the first time I've had some spray kicking up!  Usually the boat is very dry.  On the way back in (the second video going into the sunset), we were on a reach, going a very steady 5.5 knots.  My wife typically doesn't like the waves, but she was a good sport and put up with it tonight!  Notice the whistling in the rig.

Nice videos Rob! I had a kind of epiphany re The HC/HDC the other day while looking at Sail magazine and some of the new cruising boats. What I saw was plumb bows, lots of beam, broad sterns and flatish underbodies carried well aft. Sound familiar? That which is old is new again!

Craig, excellent point.  Hadn't thought of that, but you are correct!
