Has anyone on here completely striped out the interior of their 23/3? My 1993 has too much interior damage from water to fix, and the only way to restore it correctly would be to take everything out and start all over. While I have everything out of the boat, I plan to glass-in the hull to deck joints from the inside and re-epoxy the interior of the hull. This will certainly be a long term project. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks.

That sounds like quite a project. I would suggest to do the hull to deck joint from the outside. If the water gets through there and sits behind a glassed in area it will find a way out and it may cause a lot of issues.
That is a huge project. I would suggest, if you plan to cruise, to look up my electrical upgrade. I just got back from a 7 day cruise and the electrical update was AWESOME. I had power without going into a slip. How much power??? I ran an tiller pilot constantly, ran a 12V fan at night, a stereo, charged my handheld VHF, Ran my GPS, used my Anchor light and cabin lights, and I had almost fully charged batteries the entire trip.

Don't forget that you can get a lot of the parts from Compac and they are a valuable resource. I have exchanged a ton of emails with them and they are always willing to give you pointers and help.
Oh, other good mod is to upgrade to the new bobstay. The Compac IV has a solid bobstay and I broke my original bobstay loading on a trailer. I went to the upgrade and it was a cheap and simple upgrade that I am really happy with.

I haven't attempted such a thing, but based on other boat projects, be ready for it to cost 3 times more than you think and take 5 times longer than you think. If you have the money/time to do it, and you enjoy that kind of work, then go for it. If you're planning significant changes to the layout or you really want to upgrade systems (like the electrical) to match your future plans, then rebuilding a damaged interior makes sense. But if you're not planning any big changes, you can probably sell the boat as-is and buy one in better condition with a net cost pretty close to rebuilding the current boat and you won't spend hundreds of hours doing it. Otherwise make any repairs that are critical for health/safety, put a coat of paint on everything, and enjoy it as is.
