Title: FL Canal Bridge
Post by: Elk River on February 13, 2015, 12:46:51 PM
Hi All:

Are there any Cape Coral area sailors that would know the height over the canal of the Cape Coral Pkwy bridge at S.E. 1st Pl.?  This is where the Pkwy. changes from east to west.

     Thanks,

     Elk River

If you're talking Okeechobee Waterway, the Cape Coral Bridge was at 55' when we came through the other day on our way to Fort Myers Yacht Basin.  We're tucked up in FMYB for the week so can't speak to what the clearance might be now.

If you're asking about the canal near Cape Coral Marina, the chart shows a vertical clearance of 9', I think.

Either way, good luck!

Thank you, gentlemen, for the quick replies.  I am down here in FL now without a boat, so I don't actually need the information until a year from now when we will be bringing our 19/2 down.  I will most likely have to raise and lower the mast for the bridge in question, so may drive down there to check it out before I head back north.
