Sailors,
My last movie was a little shaky and made some of you seasick. I apologize for the mess on deck. I am getting better at this, so here is a 2 minute movie of the 16 flying across the water with the 19 at full speed and with little heeling.
It is a big 18MB file that takes my DSL about a minute to load. On my browser there is no indication of it loading, but don't fret. Go get a cool drink and it will be playing when you come back. If you have dial up you can mow the lawn and wash the car while it loads.
The artistic intent of this footage was to capture the boats doing what they do. I purposely avoided activity on board. My only wish is that I was able to capture the boats tacking. It was difficult to sail and film singlehanded.
There is something very moving about sailing. I chose the music to help stir this emotion when you watch the clip. I love Jimmy Buffet too, and that gives a more jolly feel. I'll manage to get some tacking, spinnaker - fast sailing with the help of a deckhand.
