Old #12, now named "Otter", just left 2 months on the hard and is resting at Blackbeard Sailing Club on the Neuse River near New Bern, NC.
She had a bottom peel, barrier coat and new bottom paint. She has a new bootline stripe and cove stripe. New canvas, new shaft log, shaft, and stuffing box..
Many thanks to Charlie Diesher for his help in bringing home. Still work left to do but I've slept 3 nights on her so far and look forward to many more.

Another 27 with extra ports, I did mine on Allure a few years back and I never regretted it. I did hate putting a sawzall to the cabin walls (hate cutting holes in any boat !!).
Enjoy

Hey Chesley:
I too enjoyed the ride from Duck Creek to Blackbeards. Hope that we get to go sailing soon.
OTTER definitely looks much better than when you bought her. Nice work!
regards charlie
the new cove stripe looks great. congrats on bringing her back.
Very cool, Ches! Which slip is she in? I'm hoping to get to BSC Sat-Sun, but not sure yet. Some home chores need to be done first.
Bruce,
Just down the way from you! A-15.... Next to Jeff.

Very cool! Weather permitting, looking forward to seeing her out on the River.
Hey Bruce and Ches:
Wes and I sailed over Sunday looking for you all at Blackbeards and lunch at Fairfield. Missed out on both but had a great day of sailing'. Winds were forecast 14-21 and I think that they were all of that.
Wes is definitely ready to finish up his C-27 and start sailing it.
Hope to get together next chance.
regards charlie
Yeah, I had a bunch of things to do on the house, and decided to get them started while it was warm. I had hurt my back a week or so ago, and for some reason, riding in the car is the worst position for it, so I avoided the drive down.
I'll be back down next warm, uh, snap.
Sorry I missed yawl!
