Title: Good book for sailors
Post by: alsantini on December 12, 2014, 03:22:22 PM
I posted this before but it disappeared??  Let me try again.  I just finished reading Light on Dark Waters by Stephen Hayes.  The book was highlighted in some sailing magazine and I downloaded it from Barnes and Noble.  I think any sailor and probably some non sailors would enjoy it.  It is the story of a trip from New England down to the Bahamas.  Be forewarned, it is not all fair winds sailing.  It includes flashbacks to Vietnam and some real heartache for the Captain.  It is only 100 pages and relatively cheap and a very worthwhile read.  Any other good books that include sailing out there?

It still here, I moved it to the sailing books and movies section as it was related to that topic.

You're a good guy, Al. I'm still working on my Sarasota trip. Ran into some schedule conflicts, but still at top of bucket list. will look you up. Fair winds.
