Title: Hoofer Sailing Club, UW
Post by: Vipersdad on November 17, 2014, 07:56:11 PM
Here is a fun video our Head of Instruction put together as a season wrap-up.  If you watch closely you will see a CPYOA burgee at 3:16.  That is my CP 19/II on my pin.

FYI:  The Hoofer Sailing Club has been a part of the Hoofer outdoor adventure clubs at the University of Wisconsin – Madison since 1939. In that time it has grown from a handful of boats and members taking care of them, to the second largest inland sailing club in the country. The club's fleet includes dinghies, keelboats, windsurfing boards and even winter kites.

Enjoy,

V.

Nice video!  Looks like a very active club.  It's good to see all the young folks involved.

Dang it I went to the wrong UW?  I am trying to recall if I ever saw anyone even wearing shorts on campus at UWSuperior.  If they were it the shorts were probably paired up with a down vest.
Nice video.

Very cool video.  I love sailing on Lake Mendota.  As a matter of fact it was the place I took the Eclipse for initial splash down this past April.  My precision 21 resides on the Lake since I sold it to a Doctor at the U of W med school.  Hope to see you next summer since I plan on sailing Lake Mendota frequently.  Fair winds and short winter...
