Title: 2010 Sun Cat "Frisky" FOR SALE
Post by: capt_nemo on November 15, 2014, 10:17:00 PM
The time has come for me to part with my beloved 2010 Sun Cat "Frisky"

Although the boat has been modified INSIDE for solo cruising with custom storage modules, and OUTSIDE with a 4' Bowsprit, Chain Bobstay, Whisker Stays, Quick-Release Head Stay, Quick-Release Baby/Staysail Stay and ADDITIONAL Masthead Shrouds, ALL MODIFICATIONS WERE ACCOMPLISHED WITHOUT DRILLING A SINGLE HOLE IN THE BOAT OR ALTERING THE BOAT'S STRUCTURE IN ANY PERMANENT WAY. The boat can be returned to FACTORY CONFIGURATION if desired in a short period of time. A Custom Line Control System for all lines led back to the cockpit required only 4 holes on each side of the companionway at the rear of the cabin top. These 8 bolts NEVER NEED TO BE REMOVED to change cleats or cam cleats mounted on removable platforms on each side.

Other details on condition, sail inventory, and equipment available upon request.

Location - Port Charlotte, FL

2010 Sun Cat - Trailer w/spare - 4 HP 4-stroke YAMAHA OB -  $17,995

Well, I for one, am surprised. I thought you two were inseparable.

I guess. Glad I'm not there yet but I doubt I'll be as gracious about it as you. If I were to buy a Suncat, it would certainly be yours.

Bob23,

Don't misunderstand me. I haven't given up sailing or anything that has to do with boats. It is just time to sell "Frisky" and get on with my boatbuilding and further enjoyment of the water. I'll still have a 12' homemade sailboat, a 17' Bayliner Bow Rider w/90 HP OB, a homemade Portuguese dinghy, and a Kayak build IN PROGRESS.

Yes, Don, I certainly hope you keep up with us in the SunCat group, with your sage advice and great carpentry.  I'm benefitting greatly from the cabinets that Dennis put aboard following your lead.

I know what it's like to let a boat that you've become associated with go to someone else.  Whisper, my SeaPearl Tri-Sport is for sale, and there is a fellow in Mobile interested.

Fair winds and smooth seas, Captn Nemo. I much enjoyed your many postings and being more a sailing sailor than a boat builder I much admired your ingenuity and craftmanship. Thank you for the many lessons.

Hey Don,

Sorry the Frisky has left the area.  Don't be a stranger here.  I took you up on the idea or a non-rotatiing peak halyard block this past weekend and I'm sure it will keep the peak halyard from twisting.
