   at the clr there was talk about a cheap yet effective weather app. does anyone (mike) know what that was? thanks ----still using wet finger in air

Windfinder is pretty good. I didn't like the freebie version on my Droid though.  You have to make sure you get the hourly " Super Forecast" not the basic one that goes by 3 hour increments.  I think the fancy version was a buck or two.

You can just go to Windfinder.com on a PC or pick up the app on you ipad or smarty pants phone.

I am lucky in Madison as there is a free app for my phone that gives up to the minute wind, temp, humidity, water temps at different levels, etc.  it is nice to see what is happening in real time.  (Lake Mendota Bouy App)

This is what we use. 
myweather2.com 
enter your zip under Fast Forecast,  Also, check under search by category and click marine weather. In the drop box go to global ports or marinas and
select your marine area. It gives weakly as well as daily including time, direction, wind, waves, swell, temp, cloud%, precip. , RH% , pressure and vis. in miles
best of all IT'S FREE
