I now have a 5 watt tickler charge solar panel.  It was a cheap add but a good one.  It will keep the batteries topped off while on the trailer.

Next time I will go to a bigger panel but this is fine for now.

I've got a 12 I got from Defender; works great! I put it across the gas tank cover, because that end of the boat is in the sun more. It hooks right on to the battery from there easily, and then I put it into the seat locker while I'm sailing. Very convenient and effective.

I thought about putting it across the gas tank cover.  I knew that it would get some shadowing.

The mount I build was pretty simple to fabricate.  It was not too expensive either. It comes off pretty easy too.

Eventually I need to wire it into the battery.  That is a future project.
