Hello,
My new to me 1992 c- 27 has an issue with the breaker tripping. Just need a little help troubleshooting the issue. The dc side works fine, recharges off of alternator all lights and eletronics work and no unusual battery drain. When I turn on the ac side the breaker just immediatly trips, all of the other breakers are off. The breaker on the dock is fine. I am not an electrician but can handle simple fixes. I havnt opened the panel yet, not sure anything behind it that can be fixed.
Thanks
Stephen
I had a similar problem. I found the previous owner ran a wire from the AC side to the DC side of the breaker panel. When removed all worked well.

Interesting problem. Any pictures of the back of the panel? What year C-27? I have not had any problems with the AC side of Windrunner, except for worn out GFI's.

Its a 92 cp 27. After doing some research i think ill try replacing the breaker, sometimes they wear out. Already replaced the gfi, even though it was shot, it couldnt have been causing the problem because it on its own circuit and the breaker was off. If no success ill take a photo and post it.

Before you spend the money on a new breaker check to see if you are having a "reverse polarity" problem. I occasionally find that at private docks and marinas that do not see a lot of larger boats.

I guess breaker performed exactly as it should. Checked the dock and it was reverse polarity and the circuit was pumping 220 instead of 110. Salt will work wonders. All good now thanks for the help.
