One of my neighbors was cleaning out his attic and found issues of "Rudder" magazine. He gave me 3 boxes containing 1946, 1948 and 1949. Anyone interested in vintage pleasure craft of all types should really enjoy these.
If you would like them, 1st come, 1st served! Since I have three volumes, I have no problem sending them to three interested CPYOA members. Just asking for postage to your address.

They are in good readable condition, however, it seems they are lacking covers and because of their age are bound with a large paper clip!

Enjoy the magazines, Tim. I would have liked to hold on to them a bit longer, but the Admiral would have deep-sixed 'em (or me!). I have so much in the way of books (sailing, science, sci-fi and model railroading) and magazines as well.
Having had a chance to glance at a "Rudder" magazine, I wonder if one of our CPYOA members has a copy that describes a 1959 30' Chris-Craft Cavalier. The one with 2 gray marine engines and a plywood hull? I've done numerous internet searches with no luck. My dad bought the boat in Canada in 1965 and sailed it all the way to NJ (Hudson River) with no prior experience. I don't think he ever sailed a sailboat, but I'm sure he would have been real good at it. He was a pretty smart guy (he seemed to get smarter after I was in my thirties!).

Yes, Kev: If you'd stuck around, maybe you'd have been the dissenting vote and someone else more qualified could have gotten the job. But, no-you had to venture to the dark side of Seawards. We forgive you. But, as Tim stated, you are in arrears not just the 2k, but also we have a strict re admission fee. I'll see what I can do to get it reduced from the $3k to something more manageable. Of course, like anyone in a position of authority, bribes are always welcome.
