Hmm...tempting but looks to be a 23/2- just like my 1985. Another hmm...seems to be an O'Day rudder instead of a Compac. But still looks like a steal. Good thing it's not in NJ or you might find my remains floating in Carlyle Lake. The Admiral is on a campaign to cut down my fleet. Like I might have mentioned, I always reply to her: "One wife, many boats". She doesn't know just how lucky she is. Maybe I should try: "One boat, many wives". Ouch! What just hit me in the head? Oh my, the blood, the pain, the........Ahhh......

If it's sound, it's a total steal.  Hope we see the new owner on our forum.

Has anyone gone to check out this boat?  Seems to me there must be something up with it to last so long at that price.  Other than there being no trailer so transportation might be a little difficult.  I'm interested but don't want to drive 8hrs to find out it's a pile.

Someone loved that boat. Looks like an upgraded companionway step, racks to hold stuff on the interior shelves, is that an upgraded 2-burner stove?, custom wood seahood, are those thicker custom quarter-berth cushions?, looks like the ventilation hole on the foredeck has been sealed and a dorade vent installed on the cabin, newer genoa fairleads, 2005 motor. The rudder might have been an attempt to improve on the flat plate rudder that came from the factory. It would be reasonable to stick something on from a different boat if it was done before after-market foiled replacements were available and if the owner didn't want to make a custom one.

Looks like a heck of a deal if you can find a way to move it.

I had noticed this one also and am sorely tempted (I have a daughter at Texas A&M so a drive to Texas is an option), but I know the wife would shoot me if I even suggested it this fall. The only reason I can get away with keeping my CP16 is that it fits into the garage  and I don't have to pay any storage fees. The 23 would have to get stored and that would kill the deal with the wife.  Oh well..... keep dreaming

Oh no, quit posting this stuff.  I have a sister that works in Kemah and an EMPTY 23 trailer in my back yard.  But I would truly be keelhauled by the Admiral if I buy another project before I finish the several I have started.

Let's see, cut off the cabin trunk, drop in a small diesel, build a pilot house on top, full restoration inside and out, maybe have a pilothouse for a quarter the cost of new...........
