Hey Hockeyfool:
Nice flicks and a good looking sailboat.  Thanks for sharing them.

For what it is worth, there should be a hook on your gooseneck that you hook the grommet along the luff of your sail that becomes the new tack when you reef.  In the 'sailing reefed' video the reefing grommet is about a foot or so up from the gooseneck.  On a C-27 the hook looks like this.  If you use it you will have a bit better sail shape.

regards charlie

Thank you --
   I see what you mean, and soon I am to be installing a new gadget that might also do the trick;
  an Internal MastGate kit . Expensive for how simple the hardware is but when i permanently install
I am supposed to be able to leave entire mast sail track from bottom of mast to above the mast track slot.
This way I can let all sail slugs drop and move boom accordingly--without a sail thumbstop, or loosing anything
   as the MastGate fits over the slot, but can be flexed inward when taking mainsail off rig.

hockeyfool,

i installed an internal mast gate on our 19 2 years ago and love it.

sure it's expense for what it is, but it works great.
