Title: Replacement Cowl Vent Information
Post by: Short Sale on July 27, 2014, 10:26:17 AM
The cowl vent for my 1987 Com-Pac 16/2 split the other day.  The vent does not have any identifying markings on it.  Where can I obtain a replacement for just the flexible vent?  I see some online that are 3", but they appear to have additional parts that seem to suggest that I will have difficulty slipping it on.  Any clarification I can get would help.

Notice the split where it connects to the PVC hole in the deck.

Thanks for your help.

George

I had the same issue on my CP23D.    Got a replacement from Hutchins.

I don't know if you'd ever find any type of glue that could fix that plastic, but you could probably drill some small holes along each side and sew across the split with some heavy fishing line or nylon string.
