Title: CP 23 Finally in the Water on Lake Michigan
Post by: thomeng55 on May 09, 2014, 03:57:49 PM
After an extremely long winter, I have my baby finally back in the water and snugged away in her slip.  She is at the Hammond Marina on the very southern most end of Lake Michigan.  The water?  ...a bit brisk at less than 40 degrees, but ice free at last!   It has been so windy... 20 to 30 knots pretty consistently the last week or so, that I have not even ventured to hank on the sails let along take her out.  I am hoping this weekend, if the weather holds.

Just anxious to sail....

Thom

looks like you are one of the first.. good for you!   it definitely has been a rough winter all around - maybe that will help us to appreciate the sailing season that much more!   good luck as you prepare to get underway, and thanks for sharing the pics.. jt
