Title: Max height of Compac 16 on trailer, mast down
Post by: Geoff on March 31, 2014, 10:22:04 PM
What would the height be of the ComPac 16, assuming she is on a standard trailer with the mast lying horizontally atop cabin, from bow pulpit to some sort of crutch in the stern?

Reason I'm asking is that it seems my ComPac 23 might need some company, but I want something I can stow in the garage.

Anyone fitting one of these in a garage?

Thank you!

Geoff

I keep my ComPac 16 III in my garage.  Someone asked this question recently, so I went out and measured and found that it's 78 inches from the floor to top of bow pulpit (with boat sitting level on its trailer).  I also have 21 feet depth in my garage, so the boat fits height and length-wise, with mast resting level on bow pulpit and a crutch at the stern.  Hope this helps.

I was wondering the same thing. Thanks for the information. Now that I have sold my Tartan, I might finally get a Com-Pac.
