I need your advice. I have a CP 16 with shoal keel (not CB) in my backyard. I need to get the trailer out from under it so I can repair the trailer. My current idea is to support the transom and then jack up the boat at the keel, so I can slide the trailer out. I was planning to let the boat sit on its keel in the grass and support the sides with padded boards.
Has anyone done this? Is there an easier way? Thanks. Also, any hints for getting it back on the trailer?

Someone on this site last year said [theres photos here somewhere] unloaded his 16 in his yard, then winched it back on,that may depend on your type of trailer. I placed a 55 gallon drum with carpet under my transom, then a 20 foot lifting strap forward of the keel arround the belly the used a chain fall to lift the boat and pulled the trailer out,then blocked it up.The yard method would not work with my type of trailer.GOOD LUCK and happy sailing :D
