Welcome aboard William. I sail a 1983 16 in North Carolina. I met Rich Hutchins at the Annapolis show this year. He said to me "we made about 3000 16's and I've met about 30,000 people who have owned them!" He was exaggerating of course, but it does speak to how well these boats were made and how long they last. Have fun and fair winds!
