Title: San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico
Post by: Sedona Don on November 01, 2013, 04:36:27 PM
I will be bringing my CP23 back to Arizona after several months in San Diego.   Thinking about trailering the boat to San Carlos, Sonora, Mexico, and leaving it there for several months to explore the Sea of Cortez. This is a pretty easy (and popular) trip for Arizonans and I am wondering whether any of you have done this

Don,

Last year I was at the Lake Havasue event in Febuary, this year they are not having the event but a few of us here in Calif. are thinking about going there foe a week or so.

There is a pretty good size sailing club in AZ, I can't think of the clubs name, and I can't think of the name of the two large lakes they sail on. Who would think there would be sailors in AZ !

I actually bought my boat there !

Glenn,
Keep me "in the loop" regarding plans for Lake Havasu.... I might try to join you ..... need to wash off the salt!   You are probably referring to the Lake Pleasant Sailing Assn. Lake Pleasant is a large impoundment just outside of Phoenix.
