Title: Looking for a C27
Post by: deisher6 on August 21, 2013, 09:52:03 AM
Recently moved to New Bern from eastern MT and am looking for a C27.  A swap for a '89 C16 III with three new sails, Ida rudder, upgraded trailer axle tires, would be nice but not required.  If you know of any that may not be listed on Yacht World or Boat trader I would be happy to follow up.

We just looked at Tryumph II near Belhaven.  It was a nice boat but we are still looking. Checked out another '86 north of Milwaukee, since we were traveling nearby, that would probably go for $4000 but required more work that I would care to do.

There is another one listed in Green Cove Springs FL that has a very interesting cabin arrangement with a table and settees mounted on the starboard side, but the price seems high.

Thanks
regards charlie

Hi, Koinonia is on sailboatlistings.com.  Give me a call if you have any questions.  Her upgraded engine would be great for your tidal currents.

Thanks for the responses.

I will driver over to duck creek and check out the boats.

Checked out sailboatlistings.com only see 3 C27's there.  We have looked at the first one.  Neither of the other two were named Koinonia.  I would be interested in more information and location.

Thanks again.

regards charlie

Josh:
Thanks for the url.

I searched for ComPac's and missed yours which is listed as a 27' ComPac 27.   Your boat looks well cared for, pretty much stock and well maintained....thankfully the first that we have seen without a microwave added.

Will keep your boat in consideration and possibly arrange a visit is we head down your way.

Thanks again
regards charlie

Thanks for all the help and leads.  We looked at 4 boats.

Should close the deal on the ComPac 27 on the hard at Duck Creek. It is exactly like the one we sold when I retired in 1990 and moved to MT.  Hope to have it in the water in a couple of weeks.

Our C-16 will be at the SailBoat Company for sale tomorrow.

The two happiest days of a boat owners life........

Again thanks.

Charlie - congrats! What year is she? I am working on my new to me 27 (1988) on the Pamlico near Washington. Good to know there's another 27 in the neighborhood in case I can't figure out how to reassemble something I've taken apart :).

Do you plan to participate in the October event that Keith is planning?

Hey Wes:
Iy is a 1986, really bare bones...It doesn't even have a seahood above the hatch doors on the setee storage etc..  Looking forward to running into you, not looking forward to the next week where I will be paying the price with physical labor.
regards charlie
