Title: 23/4 wheel steering in Narragansett Bay?
Post by: Shawn on July 05, 2013, 11:32:28 AM
Anyone here own the 23/4 in Narragansett Bay near Jamestown?

Pretty boat, I haven't seen a 23 with Horizon Cat rear wheel steering before. Looks like a good option to keep as much cockpit space as possible.

So far in Narragansett I believe there are

(2) 23s  (MKIII and MKIV)
Legacy
(2) 16s
Suncat
27

Shawn,
Yes, that's my boat, and thanks for the compliment. The wheel option has pros and cons: pro - more cockpit space, con - counter intuitive which way to turn the wheel since you are sitting in front of the wheel. Where do you moor your boat?

Hi Dick,

Serenity is in Wickford. Nice to know another 23 is in the 'bay. I think there is a 16 (with black mast) moored just a bit north of you.

Dick, Shawn,

And another CP23 on the Outer Cape and S/V Allure is a CP27 in Buzzards Bay.  We're almost neighbors.  At least its a shorter and easier sail than to Lake Carlyle.
