Title: FOR SALE!
Post by: crazycarl on June 28, 2013, 03:30:56 PM
my daughter and our grandson are visiting from denver.
she wants to go sailing, but it's been raining since her arrival.
today the forcast called for no rain, but heat.

to avoid the heat, i decided to work inside the compac this morning and we would go sailing this afternoon.
i no sooner hook our little 15' daysailer up to the jeep and the sky turns dark and gloomy.
i haven't been on the water yet this year.

with all the rain i have some things i longer need, so...i decided it is time to sell them...

4- garden hoses
1-cedar deck
deck furniture
1-swingset
1-bicycle
1-horse shoe set
1- 15' daysailer
1-canoe
1-hammock
1-pair of walking shoes

i will be keeping all our umbrellas.  (and the compac, we don't own an ark)

it's the end of days i tell ya!

We're there with ya Carl.  Our area is on pace to break the 100 year record for rainfall.  It just keeps coming and coming and....
We have been out sailing, but we have been rained on every time we go out.  Darn if it isn't raining again right now.

Most of our lakes are under a  "no-wake" rule as the water level is just too high.  Hopefully we'll have some sailing weather when we meet in Carlyle.

Carl,

You just keep on sending those boomers to us in PA and NJ, don't ya? Rain, rain and more rain. I agree, got to hold to the ComPac since we don't have an ark. The dog won't go out until she's about to burst! On the up side, we did get the bottom wet on Father's Day, so I can't really complain (yes, I can!). We had a nice sail with the grandkids on a quiet lake, about 5 mph wind. Gentle as can be. Then the clouds rolled in and I headed for the ramp. As I was leaving and the wind was picking up, 10 - 20, a guy with a Hobie was heading for the ramp. I couldn't stick around for the fun.
