Went sailing today with a variable, low wind conditions. Spent much time looking at my wind vane at the top of the mast and started wondering the significance of the Compac emblem on the sail. I can understand the "C" but what do the three arrows pointing inside the circle mean or are they just decoration? Anyone know?
Dan
" C " for the Com-Pac name.
Arrows pointing inward toward the center of the " C " . The name and arrows edifies how small yet compact the boat is.
As in as much boat as possible for it's size.
I sail a CP-19. Comfort and Joy.
Think of these boats as a Ford Pinto Station Wagon... well maybe not. One of the worst cars Detroit ever screwed together.
skip.
When I asked Gerry to explain the symbol to me a couple of years ago, he said, the "C" stood for Com Pac acourse and the arrows pointing inward symbolized everything being compressed.

I did not know that. That's what keeps me coming back, still learning things from you folks. Well, that and the laughs. ;D
