I just installed the new leaf springs. Also replaced the bearings and added new bearing buddies. She's all ready to roll out of my driveway and into yours!
Gotta move this boat to make way for the new one so the price is dropping. Is there any interest at all out there?

That really is a heck of a deal given all of the work and money you've put into it. Sometimes it is just a waiting game until the right person comes along.
Although this boat makes a great ham radio antenna mast, I'd really like to sell it ;D ;D ;D
Hi Keyskid,
I love the look of your boat and after studying the pics of the work you have done during the restoration you are to be congratulated on the great results you have achieved.
The Seagull looks just right, very "nautical" and workman like. (I have a Seagull myself but it hangs on the shed wall in all its oily glory and dreams of past feats of nautical derring do.)
I can't believe the low prices you guys buy and sell your boats for, $3000 seems to me way to low, what a bargain. I just paid $28,000 for a new 16 (Legacy).
At the price you are asking I'm sure your boat will soon be snapped up by a grateful buyer.
Best wishes for a successful sale and I hope you enjoy your new boat for many years to come.
Cheers,
Pete H
Just a shameless bump since everyone else's sailing season is approaching.... ;D ;D
So who is headed to the Keys?
Great sailing weather down here in the keys lately. Makes me think twice about selling...
shameless bump ::)
Taking offers!
I hate to sell this boat with all the time and money I put into it but it has to go.
Asking $2500 for boat, $300 for Seagull and $700 for Suzuki. Trailer of course is included.
Hey Pete,
You have put a helluva lot of work in this nice looking critter. I put a whole bunch of work on my 16. I had it perfect. I mean, as good as a 1983 CP 16 could be.
And then it sold. I now have a 19 in work, and a 23 that needed more work than I planned, but closer to the water than the 19.
I miss that 16. Just get in and go. Sure it's small, but - small is good sometimes.
I know, I know, - just my Wednesday lecture, you've heard this. But I am just sayin'... I wish I could get it from you but you are wayyy downnn there and I is up here in WA state.
Good luck and fair winds, sailor.

SOLD! YAY!
