Title: downloading my picture to my profile

When I try to upload a picture for my profile I get this message

The attachments upload directory is not writable. Your attachment or avatar cannot be saved

What am I doing wrong????
I see others have pictures

The forum doesn't allow for photos to be stored on the site.  You must post it elsewhere online (like the photobucket site for forum members), and use the "I have my own pic:" option with hyperlink.  This saves space on the server.  -Justin

Joie,

Go to www.photobucket.com.  Login as shown as CPYOA ( in caps).  Use the password "compac19" in lowercase as the password.

You can create your own album (recommended).

Click on your own name on any post. In your case--> Joie De Vivre <--
Find:
Profile, drop down to
Forum Profile Information go to
I have my own pic and from Photobucket~edit, copy, & paste your Avatar code into the box provided. It should be something like this [but without spaces].

-->http :// i259. photobucket.com / albums/ hh299/ 1930fordroadster/ oldpictures 004.jpg<--[Here is my Avatar code taked from Photobucket, there are a codes under pics in photobucket, you'll have to play with each one until you find the right one. You want the one that starts with http://...]
